Marine Biology Concentration

I am studying epifaunal and infaunal communities in recently restored and naturally occurring eelgrass beds in Newport Bay in collaboration with OC Coastkeeper.

Some interests of mine include restoration (especially local restoration projects in Orange County), working with marine invertebrates, and learning species identification. I enjoying diving as well, and I am currently working towards getting AAUS-certified so I can explore more research opportunities underwater.

My future academic and career plans are to continue on to graduate school, possibly towards a Ph.D. It would be a dream of mine to become a professor where I can teach and mentor young marine biologist as my advisor, Danielle Zacherl, has done for me and many of my lab mates.
